Breaking the Silos is a serious game designed to support various stakeholders (including policy makers, risk managers, researchers) in understanding and managing the complexities of DRR measures in a multi-risk (multi-hazard) setting, thereby moving away from hazard-silo thinking. What sets Breaking the Silos apart from other disaster risk games is its explicit focus on multi-risk challenges. The game includes different hazard types and intensities (and their interactions), different impact indicators, and (a)synergies between DRR measures. 

The BRESOV project aims to increase organically managed farmland to 25% by 2030 and meet the upcoming requirement to use exclusively organic seeds for organic farming. It focuses on breeding for resilient, efficient, and sustainable organic vegetable production, with a particular emphasis on tomato, brassicas, and snap bean. It attempts to provide a set of protocols and guidelines for maximizing organic seed production and controlling the sanitary quality of produced seeds, which will help ensure the resilience, efficiency, and sustainability of organic vegetable production.

The EU-funded project BRIGAID supports innovations that aim to reduce climate change impacts and increase community resilience to natural disasters. Through its Test and Implementation Framework, BRIGAID is helping innovations to develop effectively and reach their potential for full scale applications by end-users.

Relying on the main topics of BuildERS project - risk awareness, social capital and vulnerability – this Board game focuses on teaching the children aged 5 to 10, who are likely to be vulnerable in case of disasters, how to react and how to spread information to their peers.

The report distills the comprehensive findings of the BuildERS project into actionable policy recommendations. The report advocates dynamic perspectives on vulnerability, inclusivity, and cross-agency collaboration. It offers concrete key actions for policymakers at the EU, national, and local levels, emphasizing the importance of addressing vulnerabilities dynamically across different crisis phases.

This document aims to clarify the international and EU law, related to the creation of positive energy districts, and applicable to the lighthouse and fellow cities. Further, it also covers the national and even city-specific law applicable to the Lighthouse Cities. This analysis feeds into Work Packages 6 and 7 for the respective lighthouse cities. Moreover, it is also useful for the FCs, to provide examples of what works and what holds back projects.

Drawing on experiences from the 2021 floods in Western Europe, this report presents five areas in which further research and action is needed to tackle climate risks and facilitate pathways towards climate resilience.

This publication, stemming from the WHO Small Countries Initiative, delves into the concept of resilience in the context of health, focusing on individual, community, and system levels. By analyzing case studies from Iceland, Malta, and San Marino, it highlights measures taken to enhance resilience in various scenarios, including supporting victims of child abuse, addressing health workforce brain drain, and integrating people with disabilities into society. The insights reveal the interconnectedness of resilience across different levels.

This report focuses on resilience; setting out the types of services, resources and infrastructure that need to be in place locally to support resilient communities, helping people to ‘feel good and function well’. 

This report makes a valuable contribution to efforts to improve health system resilience. The authors have examined country experiences during COVID-19 and earlier disease outbreaks and explored previous work to elaborate the key features of resilient health systems and the health sector investments that enable them. The report presents a unique but simple health system resilience framework, and outlines a roadmap for countries to operationalize resilience in the form of integrated investments that promote progress toward the International Health Regulations (IHR) and Universal Health Coverage (UHC).

They help to understand how company participation in apprenticeship changes in times of crisis and to inform responses that help apprenticeships adapt and overcome fluctuations. At the same time, they give examples of how national stakeholders can share a common vision and purpose for apprenticeships, allowing their adaptation to emerging needs without compromising their essential features as a distinct type of training. Eventually, they show the links between the two topics: apprenticeships that are built on a common vision (and shared efforts and responsibilities) are also built to last, to withstand times of crisis

How important is cybersecurity for online trust? And how can trust in cybersecurity be achieved? We shall briefly outline the gist of many philosophical, psychological and sociological views on trust. Then, we shall explore its implications for cybersecurity.
