This report from the SENTINEL project focuses on the final step of its stakeholder engagement strategy, presenting feedback on the usefulness of modelling results for case studies and providing insights into further model refinements. The document outlines a participatory multi-method approach involving 10 events with more than 90 stakeholders. Stakeholder perspectives were gathered on 12 model applications across case studies, addressing issues from general modelling challenges to specific topics like technology costs, environmental criteria, and behavioural change. The report concludes with lessons learned, challenges, and recommendations for future research in energy system modelling.

This report, titled "Synthesis Report of the Initial Dynamic Action Plans for 20 Multi-Actor Platforms," presents a comprehensive overview of the Multi-Actor Platforms (MAPs) established under the SHERPA project. SHERPA aims to gather knowledge and opinions for formulating recommendations on future rural policies in the European Union. The document outlines the objectives, compositions, and activities of the MAPs, focusing on their roles in contributing to policy recommendations. The synthesis captures key information from the initial Dynamic Action Plans of the first 20 MAPs, offering insights into their diverse starting conditions, establishment stages, and planned activities.

The objective of this report is to identify improvements to the governing of the Nexus. For this purpose, we analysed the horizontal and vertical policy coherence between the Nexus domains water, land, energy, food and climate (WLEFC). Also, the regulatory gaps, ambiguities and inconsistencies in policies and policy processes, hampering the coherence, were investigated and we searched for successful national and regional tailor-made solutions applied in practice.

This type of tool has made it possible to gather people online, and allow them to compare their own strategies with others. This suggest that there is value in creating repositories of Serious Games possible solutions to different problems so as create a culture of exposure to constructive criticism and therefore more robust decisions making.

This briefing explores the challenge of raising the profile of social innovation in policy making, because although social innovation may happen as a result of citizen action alone, its impact can be much enhanced by the design of supportive policies.

The SMARTEES project aims to promote social innovation in the energy sector by developing future policy scenarios and interventions. It seeks to address energy efficiency and sustainability challenges through co-production with stakeholders. The outcome of the project includes the development of a handbook with guidelines for the co-production of future policy scenarios and interventions, as well as the organisation of workshops to gather input from various participants. It adopts a collaborative approach to inform and shape future energy policies and initiatives.

The SMARTEES project aims to facilitate the transition to energy efficiency and sustainability in urban areas by developing and implementing locally-embedded policy scenarios. It focuses on engaging citizens, stakeholders, and policymakers in the co-creation of sustainable energy solutions that are tailored to the specific needs and characteristics of each community. It attempts to develop a set of innovative policy tools and strategies that can be replicated and scaled up across Europe, contributing to the achievement of the EU's energy and climate goals.
