Phereclos - Partnerships for pathways to higher education and science engagement in regional clusters of open schooling - Open Schooling Policy Recommendation Brief
This document presents policy recommendations derived from the PHERECLOS project, focusing on Open Schooling to enhance Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) education. The recommendations are structured around six key areas, addressing the benefits of Open Schooling, school autonomy, capacity building for teachers, engagement of non-formal education providers, long-term financing, and the removal of barriers for student participation. The foundation of these recommendations lies in the PHERECLOS project's comprehensive analysis of Open Schooling, science capital, and a review of international, European, and national policies, aiming to contribute to the commitment of quality and inclusive education outlined in the European Pillar of Social Rights.
