This report details good practices in quadruple helix collaboration for developing COVID-19 tracking apps, examining knowledge production and information exchange across academia, economy, media, culture, and politics. It consists of two parts: the first explores these collaborations in Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and Turkey, focusing on communication and decision-making during the COVID-19 crisis, while the second analyses 37 global COVID-19 tracking platforms for engagement, data access, privacy, rewards, and ethical considerations.

The PANOPTIS project aims to increase the resilience of road infrastructure by developing a Decision Support System (DSS) that utilizes terrestrial and airborne sensors, as well as advanced modeling tools. The purpose of the project is to provide operators with a comprehensive monitoring scheme and a holistic resilience assessment framework to support them in responding to everyday events and disasters. The project attempts to develop a set of Standard Response Procedures, which outline protocols and actions for operators to mobilize resources and tackle incidents related to various perils and disasters affecting road infrastructure.

This document outlines the objectives of PARIS REINFORCE, a project aimed at developing an innovative, demand-driven assessment framework for climate policies in the European Union and other major emitters. In the PATH2LC project public authorities have worked together within the framework of a holistic network approach (so-called Learning Municipality Networks, LMN) with the aim to achieve low-carbon municipalities. The LMN approach of the PATH2LC project aims to support public authorities in the implementation of climate protection measures. The core of the project activities are the SE(C)APs (Sustainable Energy (and Climate) Action Plans) or similar climate protection plans developed by the municipalities. Five existing networks of municipalities in Italy, Greece, Portugal, the Netherlands and France are participating in the project. In this deliverable, recommendations and guidelines for an improvement of the applied approach of Learning Municipality Network in PATH2LC are derived.

The foundation of these recommendations lies in the PHERECLOS project's comprehensive analysis of Open Schooling, science capital, and a review of international, European, and national policies, aiming to contribute to the commitment of quality and inclusive education outlined in the European Pillar of Social Rights.

This report examines the relationship between the rise and decline of industries and the wage distribution at the regional scale, including policy insights deriving from the study.

The main objective of RIA PIONEERED is to determine research-informed policy measures and identify pioneering policies and practices to mitigate inequalities in access to, and the uptake and completion of, education – both in formal and informal educational settings. To this end, researchers from nine participating countries have conducted an analysis of education policy. This analysis focuses on how the meanings of core concepts such as
educational inequality or vulnerable students have over time in policy discourse, and which aspects of educational inequality have been tackled most successfully over the last decade (a table with definitions of these concepts is provided below). 

NAIADES III reveals that the EU’s inland waterway network is underutilized due to inadequate infrastructure and inconsistent waterway quality, with climate change exacerbating the frequency of disruptive droughts and floods. This results in increased transportation costs and potential economic losses, as observed with the Rhine river in 2018, which led to significant industry impacts and necessitates reevaluation of logistical strategies and infrastructure improvements to enhance climate resilience.

This study uses new metrics of global value chain dependencies and unexpected pandemic impacts to statistically analyze the influence of overseas supply interruptions on local production. The findings indicate that these negative impacts are more pronounced when there's a high concentration of suppliers from specific countries or particular firms. The study's model simulations show that having a diverse set of suppliers can effectively protect domestic production from supply shocks specific to one country. Meanwhile, bringing some production back home offers only minor additional advantages. Technological advancements that decrease reliance on foreign sources, like adopting renewable energies over fossil fuels, can offer benefits comparable to supplier diversification.

Probabilistic Approaches for Improved Flood Risk Assessment and Management under consideration of uncertainties.

This framework for action describes ten goals - across three dimensions: economy and society; leadership and strategy; and infrastructure and ecosystems – that together can transform port performance. It provides a line of sight for resilience from a policy level through to implementation at a port asset level.

The CIVITAS PORTIS (PORT-cities: Innovation for Sustainability) project is concerned with the design, demonstration and evaluation of integrated packages of sustainable mobility measures in five major port cities across the four European seas: Aberdeen and Antwerp (the North Sea); Trieste (the Mediterranean Sea); Constanta (the Black Sea); and Klaipeda (the Baltic Sea).

This paper analyses the impacts of the pandemic and outlines holistic recovery options based on scaling up energy transition technologies. The analysis draws extensively on the recent Global Renewables Outlook, released by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in April 2020.

This study looks at lessons from a scheme that helped residents of a York neighbourhood to make their community more environmentally sustainable and adaptable to change. The Good Life Initiative in New Earswick tried different ways of engaging residents and this research considers which were the most effective.
