FutuResilience Final Event

The final event of the FutuResilience project will take place on Tuesday 2nd and Wednesday 3rd December 2025 at the Parliament of Estonia in Tallinn.
The FutuResilience is a Europe-wide Horizon Europe funded project aimed at enhancing societal resilience in the face of future crises. In a world where crises are becoming more frequent and increasingly interconnected, the capacity to anticipate, adapt, and respond effectively is essential. The project addresses this challenge by bridging the gap between research, innovation and policy. This was implemented through 10 challenge-based labs that implemented future-oriented co-creation processes to design contextually relevant strategies for societal resilience.
The final event provides an opportunity to reflect upon and critically examine the collective achievements of FutuResilience: the lessons learned, the innovative approaches and the avenues for future action. Over two days, participants will engage with a rich programme, which includes presentations of project key outcomes, invited internationally recognised keynotes, and practical learnings from policymakers, practitioners, stakeholders, and communities working with future resilience.
Keynotes: Piret Tõnurist (OECD Observatory of Public Sector Innovation), Iphigenia Pottaki (European Commission, DG RTD)
Core Sessions: The role of evidence in the policymaking process (Evangelia Petridou, NTNU Social Research), Place-based innovation for societal resilience (Michal Miedzinski– Joint Research Centre ), Foresight in policymaking (Martin Kruse, CIFS & Philine Warnke, ISI). The sessions will include conversations with the FutuResilience labs and invited projects.
